Trek in Jebel Saghro anti Atlas volcanic massif. The Eastern Anti-Atlas: Jbel Sarhro, is a mountain in southern Morocco which culminates at an altitude of 2,712 m. Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the hotel in Marrakech

Day 2: Marrakech – Transfer to Ait Youl.
After breakfast, you'll take on a scenic transfer from Marrakech to Ait Youl, traversing the majestic High Atlas Mountains. Your journey will take you through the vibrant city of Ouarzazate. Known as the gateway to the Sahara Desert, and the lush palm groves of Skoura. As you continue, you'll arrive in Kelaat M'gouna, renowned for its stunning Rose Valley. Here, you'll meet your mule team, who will assist in loading the trekking equipment before you begin your adventure on foot.
The trek will lead you through the charming villages of Kelaat M'gouna. Offering a glimpse into the local Berber way of life, before heading towards the foothills of the Saghro mountain range. As you progress, you'll leave the verdant M'goun region behind and enter the heart of a rugged volcanic landscape. Along the way, you'll encounter absinthe plants, a hardy xerophytic species that thrives in arid environments with minimal rainfall, adding a unique touch to the desert scenery.
Your day will conclude with an overnight stay in tents at Ait Youl de Dades. Located at an elevation of 1600 meters. The transfer by vehicle will take approximately 6 hours, followed by a gentle 2.5-hour trek. Allowing you to immerse yourself in the breathtaking surroundings before settling in for a peaceful night under the stars.
Day 3: Ait Youl - Ait Ouzzine
After breakfast, we begin our Trek in Jebel Saghro by walking along the foot of the majestic Afoughal Mountain. Where the rugged terrain gradually gives way to a verdant valley adorned with oleanders. A species of resilient shrubs or small trees belonging to the Apocynaceae family. These vibrant plants add splashes of color to the landscape as we make our way through this serene valley. The trail gently leads us to the expansive Elmar Plateau, where panoramic views open up, showcasing the surrounding natural beauty. Continuing our journey, we ascend to the Tagmoute Pass, situated at an elevation of 1890 meters, offering a perfect spot to pause and take in the breathtaking vistas.
In the afternoon, our path takes us across the Tin Ouayour Mountain, where the terrain becomes more varied, with rocky outcrops and sweeping views of the valleys below. As we descend, we arrive at the charming village of Assaka, nestled in a picturesque setting. The day's adventure concludes with a night under the stars in the village of N'Ait Ouzzine, at an altitude of 1600 meters, where we set up our tents and enjoy the tranquility of this remote mountain haven.
Day 4: Ait Ouzzine – Tifdassine
As we journey along the Assaka Valley, we pass through a series of picturesque small villages: Tajlalacht, Berkik, and Berkou. These rural communities are deeply rooted in traditional practices. With most of the villagers dedicating their lives to raising goats and sheep. The landscape is dotted with terraced fields and dry stone walls. Reflecting the hard work and resilience of the local people. The trail gradually ascends, offering stunning views of the rugged terrain. Until we reach the southern slope of the Saghro Mountain range. The day's trek concludes in the late afternoon. With an overnight stay in a traditional Berber tent at Tifdassine, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the serene beauty of the surrounding desert. The day's trek covers approximately 6 hours and 30 minutes of walking, providing ample opportunity to connect with the natural environment and the local culture.
Day 5: Tifdassine – Igli
We continue our journey eastward, ascending the Alhyabe pass, where the trail offers a stunning panorama of the surrounding landscapes. As we cross the rugged terrain of Ilhazzoue, the scenery shifts to the expansive plateau of Tadaoute N'Tiblahe. Known for its striking volcanic rocky peaks that dominate the horizon. The path winds through these unique formations, providing an awe-inspiring backdrop as you trek. After a full day of exploration, we reach Igli, a serene spot nestled at an elevation of 1600 meters. Here, we set up camp and spend the night in traditional tents, under a canopy of stars, amidst the tranquility of the mountains. The day involves approximately 7 hours of walking, offering an immersive experience in this remote and breathtaking region.
Day 6: Igli – Bab N'Ali
Upon arriving at Tissagdalte, we will be greeted by the stunning panoramic view of the Bab N'Ali conglomerate. An impressive rock formation that stands as a natural gateway to the region. This scenic spot offers breathtaking vistas, making it an ideal location for photography and soaking in the beauty of the rugged landscape. After taking in the views, we'll leave our mules behind and continue our journey by vehicle towards N'KOB. A charming village known for its numerous kasbahs and rich Berber culture. Here, we will spend the night in a cozy guesthouse. Where you can relax and enjoy the hospitality of the local community, experiencing the tranquility and traditional lifestyle of the area.
Day 7: N'kob - Marrakech
In the course of your journey, you'll have the opportunity to visit the charming Berber village of N'kob, a destination renowned for its picturesque kasbahs that stand as a testament to the area's rich history and architectural heritage. Nestled amidst a stunning desert landscape, N'kob is home to over 40 mud-brick kasbahs, each offering a glimpse into the traditional Berber way of life. As you explore this village, you'll be captivated by the intricate designs and the stories these ancient structures hold. After immersing yourself in the beauty of N'kob, the journey continues as you make your way back to Marrakech.
The route will take you through the lush Draa Valley, an oasis of date palms and verdant fields stretching along the banks of the Draa River. This valley is one of the longest in Morocco and is dotted with small villages, giving you a final opportunity to experience the rural charm and natural beauty of southern Morocco before arriving in the bustling city of Marrakech.
