2 days from Marrakech to Zagora desert

Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas - Aitben haddou - Zagora

We’ll pick you up from either the airport or your accommodation in Marrakech. And set off on an unforgettable journey to the Zagora desert. Our route will take us through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains. Where you’ll experience the breathtaking views of traditional Berber villages along the way.

Our first major stop is the Telouet Kasbah, a historically significant fortress that offers insight into the region’s past. We’ll then continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a stunning kasbah and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Recognized since 1987 for its well-preserved adobe architecture.

After exploring Ait Ben Haddou, we’ll proceed towards Zagora, traveling through the picturesque Draa Valley. Upon arrival at the desert camp, you’ll be greeted with traditional mint tea, offering a warm welcome.

As the evening unfolds, take a camel ride to explore the surrounding desert landscape. And witness a mesmerizing sunset over the dunes. You’ll then spend a magical night at the desert camp. Where a delicious dinner will be served under the starry sky, ensuring a memorable and immersive desert experience.

Day 2: Zagora - Agdz - Ouarzazate - High Atlas - Marrakech

After a delightful breakfast at your desert camp. We’ll begin our return journey to Marrakech, traveling via the scenic Draa Road. Our first stop will be at the Tamnougalt Kasbah in Agdz. Where you’ll explore this historic site and its traditional architecture.

Continuing towards Ouarzazate, we’ll visit the exterior of the Taourirt Kasbah, an iconic landmark that offers great photo opportunities. You’ll also have the chance to tour the local movie studios, where many famous films have been shot.

As we make our way back, we’ll cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains once again. Soaking in the dramatic landscapes and panoramic views. Finally, we’ll drop you off at your accommodation or the airport in Marrakech, concluding your unforgettable journey through Morocco.
